Technical Support to State Government on NEP
NEP 2020 aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education and aims to transform India into a vibrant knowledge society by making both school and college education more holistic, flexible, multidisciplinary and suited to 21st century needs
- The policy envisions universalization of education by improving access to quality education, creating systems to bring in out-of-school children and achieving foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) as highest priority.
- i2i team is currently working with the Government in implementing the robust policy recommendations.
Activities Conducted (1/2)
Organize workshop to address the concerns and queries regarding the scope of NEP and devise a strategy for its effective implementation.
Formulation of six working committees so that roles and responsibilities are clearly demarcated, and a focused approach can be adopted to achieve the NEP targets.
The Annual Workplan and Budget (AWP&B) was prepared for the first time after the announcement of NEP 2020.
The i2i team engaged with all the units of SmSA and departments to facilitate them to develop comprehensive action plans with clearly defined outputs and timelines and review these.
Activities Conducted (2/2)
The i2i Foundation and UNICEF worked on developing learning materials for officials of the state through concept notes and presentations on each of the 6 task force groups and key programs as per NEP 2020.
Facilitated the preparation of a simplified version of NEP in Hindi
Helped Rajasthan state to report their NEP progress every month using the NEP Tracker developed by the Ministry of Education

Accessibility to Resources
Initiative attempted to bridge the gap between availability and accessibility by donating an audio system to a government school, SDMC Primary School for boys in Vasant Vihar, New Delhi on 9th April 2019. Prior to the donation, SDMC Primary School faced difficulties in addressing large gatherings.
A portable audio system for effective communication and entertainment was installed as a means to fuel student’s holistic development
